Art Print - 'The Unicorn'

from A$15.00

—-Olde Worlde Collaborations—-

‘The Unicorn’

The image upon which this ‘Collaboration’ is based is:

‘Eenhoorn ’ By Antonio Tempesta, in or before 1650

———

Much inspiration can be found in old manuscripts and the beautiful decorative arts of the old worlde...

These works are usually out in the public domain and one is allowed to use them in new ways...and thus this ‘collaboration’ was born. Illustrator Nadia Turner digitally colours and gently re-works these illustrations to revitalise them for modern print collections, yet always paying homage and respect to the original artist.

This is a range to celebrate these incredible artists of yesteryear...

‘I hope I have done so in a respectful manner and in such a way that encourages these works to be a beautiful addition to your walls. These works are precious and created with so much skill yet are rarely seen unless you really love hunting through image archives. My main aim is to share these beautiful works with new audiences and to encourage the admiration of the skills of these sometimes unknown artists of antiquity.’
